Rock House Training operates a ‘learner charter’ to promote mutual understanding and respect between all members of our team and our learners.

The learner charter is, in effect, our promise to you in terms of what you can expect from us, and in return, what your responsibilities will be.

In practice this means that...

We will:

  • Treat learners with equality, courtesy and respect
  • Respect diversity among learners and employers
  • Offer learners a safe and healthy place to learn
  • Offer an environment free of bullying, discrimination and harassment
  • Enable learners to receive clear up to date information advice and guidance about their training programme with Rock House Training and other learning opportunities
  • Ensure learners are taught, supported, assessed and internally verified by suitably qualified and experienced staff members.
  • Give learners information on accessing additional support if needed
  • Give learners opportunities to comment on the quality of their training programme and the services of Rock House Training
  • Engage with learners employer to ensure that they are fully aware of the requirements of the training programme and identify the most appropriate form of support to suit their requirements
  • Keep employers informed of learner progress and achievements

In return, we expect learners to:

  • Be considerate to others and treat everyone with equality, courtesy and respect
  • Respect diversity among others
  • Follow health and safety procedures confirmed by their assessor in order to keep safe and healthy
  • Respect and follow guidelines to support an environment free of bullying, discrimination and harassment
  • Arrive on time and attend their training programmes and agreed assessments
  • Take responsibility for their own learning
  • Inform their assessor of any circumstances that might affect their attendance or ability to undertake their training programme
  • Turn mobile phones to silent mode when in the training room or undertaking an agreed assessment
